Job Details

Role Overview
You will lead systems engineering activities across the full development life cycle, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, and verification and validation. You will own technical work end to end, resolve stakeholder conflicts, brief Navy customers, and mentor junior systems engineers.

What You'll Own
Requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, architecture evaluation, trade studies, integration, and V&V
Stakeholder needs elicitation, requirements conflict resolution, and technical communication with internal teams and Navy customers
Bidirectional traceability from stakeholder needs through system requirements, design, and V&V results
System interfaces and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) across hardware, software, and external systems
V&V planning, execution, and reporting, including test plans, procedures, and reports
Technical risk identification, mitigation planning, and tracking to closure
Mentorship of junior systems engineers and review of their engineering products
What You Bring

Required
U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire
Bachelor's in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
5 to 10 years of professional systems engineering experience
Full life cycle experience on integrated hardware/software systems
Requirements management in IBM DOORS, Jama, or similar, including traceability
SysML modeling in Cameo/MagicDraw or similar
Authoring ICDs, system specifications, and architecture documentation
Developing and executing V&V plans, procedures, and reports
Strong written, verbal, and briefing skills with customers and program leadership

Preferred
Navy combat, weapon, submarine, or acoustic systems
MBSE on a program of record
RM&A analysis and environmental qualification testing
System accreditation, certification, or DoD RMF support
Fielding, installation, or test events at Navy or partner sites
Linux-based and containerized environments
INCOSE CSEP or ASEP
