Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Developer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role codes solutions, performs unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces.
Responsibilities: - Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
- Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
- Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work
- Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
- Participate, contribute, and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events (e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes)
Requirements: - Solution Design: Has demonstrated the ability to design and develop significant components within an application; has performed code reviews
- Test Engineering: Proficient in designing, developing, and executing test cases and knowledge of Test Automation and tools
- DevOps and Release Automation: Ability to perform or support continuous integration and deployment activities within their role with an understanding and appreciation for DevOps culture
- Application Data Architecture: Possesses an understanding of architecture and client standards and participates in or supports delivery of architecture designs and implementations
Desired skills: - Solution Delivery Process: Understands all roles and responsibilities within their team and uses the tool sets within the software lifecycle
- Governance Stakeholder Management: Contributes to artifacts needed for governance forums; Understands stakeholder expectations and creates regular updates to keep stakeholders informed
- Business Products Strategy: Basic awareness of products, services, business flows and strategy
- Risk Management: Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate
- Planning, Execution Process: Actively participates in planning ceremonies and demonstrates working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks
- Analytical Thinking: Possesses knowledge of prior solutions to existing problems and applies them to solve similar problems
- Promotes Collaboration: Collaborates within a team and seeks ways to develop cross-team collaboration skills and build trust
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
