Contract or Permanent
Eligibility: W2 only – Open to G.C / U.S.C (No C2C / No Third Parties)
Overview
We’re looking for a client-facing, hands-on Senior AWS Solutions Architect to own end-to-end delivery—from discovery and assessment through design, build, migration, and production go-live. You’ll combine deep AWS infrastructure expertise with practical GenAI/LLM/Agentic AI solution design, acting as a trusted advisor to executives and engineering teams alike.
What you’ll do
- Lead discovery, assessments, and envisioning workshops; define target-state architectures and roadmaps
- Design secure, scalable multi-account AWS environments (networking, security/IAM, governance, landing zones)
- Plan and execute end-to-end cloud migrations, including cutover and stabilization
- Author and review Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), performing line-by-line validation and sign-off
- Architect, prototype, and productionize GenAI/LLM/Agentic AI solutions on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, related services)
- Evaluate, integrate, and tune LLMs (e.g., Claude) for real business use cases; design AI agents and automation workflows
- Implement best practices for security, cost optimization, reliability, and performance; enforce guardrails and safety
- Create solution documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and operational handoffs
- Present complex concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders; facilitate decision-making
- Lead and mentor distributed/offshore engineering teams; oversee delivery quality and timelines
- Identify scope, technical, and budget risks early; drive mitigation plans and manage crises when needed
Required qualifications
- 5+ years as an AWS Solutions Architect (consulting or enterprise)
- Active AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional)
- Deep hands-on expertise across AWS compute, storage, networking, security/IAM
- Proven end-to-end AWS cloud migration experience (discovery through cutover/go-live)
- Strong Terraform and/or CloudFormation skills, including plan/review and standards enforcement
- Experience designing and operating multi-account AWS environments
- Real-world delivery of GenAI/LLM/Agentic AI solutions on AWS
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and SageMaker; familiarity with related AI services
- Practical experience with LLM platforms (e.g., Claude) and building LLM-based apps/agents
- Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills; confident presenter to executives
- Experience leading and mentoring distributed/offshore teams
- Solid grasp of cloud security, cost optimization (FinOps basics), scalability, and performance engineering
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage technical/scope/budget risks; strong problem-solving and crisis management
Preferred/bonus skills
- AWS multi-account governance (Organizations, Control Tower), SCPs, IAM Identity Center
- Networking depth (Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, hybrid connectivity, Route 53)
- Data and MLOps patterns on AWS (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, Feature Store, Pipelines)
- RAG architectures, vector stores (OpenSearch, Aurora PostgreSQL/pgvector, DynamoDB), prompt engineering and evaluation
- Event-driven/serverless and container orchestration (Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/EKS)
- Observability and compliance (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, CIS/NIST/WAF)
- Python/TypeScript, IaC testing (Terratest), policy-as-code, and CI/CD for IaC
- AWS Well-Architected reviews and remediation experience
- Prior consulting/SI background with multi-workstream program leadership
