Salary Range: $115,000 - $164,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Battle Creek that are seeking skilled Engineering Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful completion.
• Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience with automation technologies (e.g., robotics, PLC programming).
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
