Robotics Hardware and Operations Engineer- Mountain View, CA (Onsite) Positions: 10 (Multiple Experience Levels)
Experience Levels and Pay rate:
- Tier 2: 5 8 years (2 positions) $35-40/hr
- Tier 3: 8+ years (3 positions) $45-50/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Robotics Maintenance & Technical Operations Engineers to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational health of an advanced robotic fleet in a fast-paced technology environment. This role requires strong hands-on hardware experience along with the ability to diagnose complex robotic systems and support operational workflows.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with robotic hardware components such as sensors, motors, actuators, and cameras, along with basic Linux or Python knowledge. Candidates should be comfortable performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting using power tools and diagnostic equipment while maintaining system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of robotic systems and hardware components including sensors, motors, actuators, and camera systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues affecting robotic operations.
- Utilize Linux or Python for basic diagnostics, system checks, and operational tasks.
- Use power tools and hardware testing equipment for repairs and system adjustments.
- Maintain accurate system configuration records and operational data.
- Develop structured troubleshooting workflows for complex robotic systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve robot fleet reliability and performance.
- Present operational metrics and maintenance insights to internal stakeholders when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with robotic hardware systems, sensors, motors, actuators, and camera movement mechanisms.
- Working knowledge of Linux or Python for system interaction and troubleshooting.
- Experience using power tools and hardware diagnostic tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot multi-disciplinary systems.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
