Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Mobile) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a senior-level role focused on mobile software quality assurance within an Agile/Scrum development environment. The ideal candidate will leverage expert-level proficiency in Java and Selenium to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks. This position requires strong skills in API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and backend data validation to ensure quality excellence.
Responsibilities: - Design and maintain robust automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, data-driven frameworks)
- Develop test automation using expert-level proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver
- Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Perform API testing automation using tools like REST Assured or Postman
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Conduct regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation
- Manage defect lifecycle and collaborate with development teams
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 7+ years of overall software quality assurance experience, with 5+ years focused on automation testing
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Expert-level proficiency in Java for test automation development
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Solid understanding of test automation best practices, design patterns, and coding standards
- Experience with test execution and reporting tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit)
- Strong skills in API testing automation (e.g., REST Assured, Postman with automation)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation initiatives
Desired skills: - Experience with mobile automation testing (Appium)
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
- Knowledge of static code analysis and code quality tools
- Previous experience mentoring or leading QA automation engineers
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and LLM observability
- Strong knowledge of the Payment domain in Banking
- Solid understanding of Financial terminology
Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
