Maximo SME / Technical Lead

We are seeking to hire a Maximo SME / Technical Lead to join our team working on a multi-year award we have within a large Federal Gov’t agency in the Washington, DC area.  This role is 100% remote.

 

Candidates are not required to possess this clearance to begin working; however, candidates must be prepared to initiate the clearance process upon being staffed.

 

This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).

 

An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.

 

Role:

As a Technical Lead, you will be part of a large project team supporting a pivotal client IT transformation initiative, overseeing a large development team tasked with modifying multiple complex systems. Your role is critical in navigating the diverse technology stacks that these systems employ. You will be the linchpin in ensuring that all system changes are implemented effectively and validated within a multifaceted and interconnected IT landscape. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include steering the team towards delivery excellence through the adoption of agile practices and tools (Azure DevOps), managing workloads, and overseeing the technical design and architecture of custom applications.

Your expertise in IT architecture and design will be essential, as you will be responsible for crafting solution architectures that meet the project''''''''s objectives. You will also be in charge of release management, ensuring that the scoped changes are rolled out smoothly and efficiently as part of the release. Your ability to think critically will be important solve complex problems and make decisions that will have a significant impact on the project''''''''s success. Strong written communication skills are imperative, as you will be creating technical documentation that is clear and concise.

Success in this role will require strong experience in software product management and familiarity with custom application architectures. Experience with technical documentation and technical design will be invaluable in guiding the technical team. Required Technical skills:

·        Maximo 7.6, Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), sound knowledge of Java (in case of Java customizations) and Oracle/MS

·        5+ years of Maximo development experience

·        Candidate should have strong expertise in Maximo configuration – application designer, DB Configurator, workflows etc.

·        Good understanding of Maximo customizations – conditional expression manager, Java customizations (if applicable). 

·        Candidate should be well versed with Maximo integration framework.

·        Strong SQL skills for handling database requests.

·        Good to have Oracle PL/SQL experience.

·        Candidate should able to troubleshoot and resolve application, interface, workflow, reporting and data integrity issues.

·        Knowledge of functional aspect of Maximo like work management or asset management process.

·        Good to have knowledge of non-functional requirements such as Maximo performance analysis and security analysis.
