Program Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a Program Manager.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain strong program governance: integrated program plans, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and decision documentation
* Provide executives with concise, credible status and risk updates through steering forums
* Partner with observability, platform operations, and application teams to translate architectural risk into delivery mitigations (solution literacy required, not solution design)
* Establish and scale a consistent SRE delivery framework (templates, dependency models, interface agreements, and documentation standards) across PMs and teams
* Own and maintain the integrated program plan for SRE delivery, coordinating across application, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams
* Lead SRE outcomes delivery: operational readiness, reliability improvements, and resilience practices
* Maintain governance artifacts: integrated plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, decision logs, and operational readiness dashboards
* Prepare executive-ready materials and deliver clear, timely status and risk communications
* Facilitate cross-functional alignment through risk reviews, dependency resolution sessions, and decision workshops
* Tracking & reporting: own program-level reporting, including weekly consolidated status, dependency dashboards, and daily updates during critical delivery or change windows; Produce post-change validation summaries
* Exercise delivery judgment: proactively identify architectural or execution risk, recommend mitigation options, and escalate appropriately to remove blockers
* Ensure operationalization and handoff: complete runbooks/playbooks, training, knowledge transfer, and clearly defined acceptance criteria for steady-state ownership
* Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure delivery continuity and sustainable execution beyond initial implementation

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years overall experience in application and/or infrastructure delivery
* 3+ years of experience as a Senior Program Manager leading large, multi-workstream technology initiatives
* Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise programs with SRE or reliability outcomes (e.g., incident maturity, service reliability, platform hardening)
* Proven ability to present to VP/SVP-level leadership and maintain executive-grade governance artifacts

Familiar with:
* Runbook and operational maturity
* SLO/SLI definition and adoption
* Incident management and response maturity
* Alert tuning and resilience engineering across platforms and applications

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
