Senior Data Management Analyst (Contingent Resource)

Location: Charlotte, NC
Employment Type: Contingent Assignment
About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level Data Management Analyst to support enterprise Finance Data Management Risk oversight and compliance activities. This contingent role provides expert guidance across data governance, data quality, and metadata management, with a strong focus on general ledger and regulatory reporting environments. You will act as a subject matter expert on data source governance and partner with teams across the organization to ensure alignment with enterprise Data Management Policy and standards.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as an expert consultant to influence and drive data management initiatives supporting highly complex business and technical needs.
  • Lead strategy development and deliver solutions to unique, large-scale data challenges using advanced analytical problem-solving, creativity, and innovation.
  • Provide thought leadership and expert recommendations to senior leaders on emerging data management practices, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct deep-dive metadata analysis, including data lineage, data flows, and critical data element documentation.
  • Execute, evaluate, and enhance data management controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance across finance data ecosystems.
  • Lead complex assessments to identify and remediate data quality, integrity, process, and control gaps.
  • Drive data governance initiatives aligned to enterprise policy, collaborating with technology, risk, and business partners across the organization.
  • Partner strategically across teams to design long-term data remediation solutions and contribute to multi-year data strategy planning.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management, or equivalent experience (including consulting, military experience, or formal education).
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience with Data Controls and Data Governance
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management frameworks
  • Expertise in Data Quality assessment and remediation
  • Understanding of Regulatory Reporting and related compliance requirements
  • Deep experience in Risk and Controls within enterprise finance environments
