Description:
Senior Oracle PL/SQL & Python Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Duration: 12 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: ASAP (Backfill)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL & Python Developer to support the U.S. Small Business Data Environment, a large-scale data warehouse (30-50+ TB) spanning regulatory reporting, AML/compliance, community investments, fair lending, and enterprise data products. This role involves building and optimizing high-volume data processes, ETL pipelines, and automation across a Unix-based environment. You will partner with teams in the U.S. and India and contribute to complex, multi-faceted engineering initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Develop, enhance, and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and database structures.
  • Build scalable Python components to support high-volume data workflows and automation.
  • Design, maintain, and modernize ETL pipelines, including migration to Spark-based ETL solutions (SparkFlow).
  • Create and manage Autosys job schedules for automated workloads.
  • Collaborate across global teams and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Use CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps delivery and automated deployments.
  • Perform performance tuning for large-scale Oracle SQL workloads.
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts supporting data warehouse and ETL operations.
  • Support regulatory and compliance reporting with high levels of accuracy and data quality.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent (work, training, education, or military).
  • Strong, hands-on expertise with Python (5+ years).
  • Advanced experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including performance tuning in enterprise environments.
  • Practical experience with Apache Spark; SparkFlow experience is a plus.
  • Autosys job scheduling experience (3-5 years).
  • Strong Unix shell scripting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience building and supporting enterprise-scale ETL pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps/CI-CD tools and processes.
  • Experience delivering in Agile/SCRUM environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large enterprise or financial services environments.
  • Background working with very large data environments (30-50+ TB).
  • Exposure to AML, regulatory reporting, fair lending, or community investment data.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and AI-driven dashboarding tools.
Not a Fit If
  • Your SQL background is SQL Server-only.
  • You do not have strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
  • You have worked only with small-scale or low-volume data environments.
Role Expectations (Client Environment)

In this contingent resource assignment, you may:
  • Consult on complex, large-scale Software Engineering initiatives with broad impact.
  • Analyze multi-faceted technical challenges requiring the evaluation of multiple factors, including unprecedented constraints.
  • Support the resolution of complex engineering and operational scenarios with strong understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate strategically with client partners and technical stakeholders across teams.
