Smart Communications Developer

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of Smart Communications (Thunderhead) form solutions.
• Develop SmartComm resources following best practices.
• Design, develop, and test SmartComm forms during authoring phases.
• Support requirement gathering and documentation of customer needs.
• Develop data mapping and formatting logic for document generation.
• Author design documents and requirement specifications.
• Contribute to customer implementation documentation.
• Participate in post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project milestones effectively.
• Interface with clients in a professional and customer-focused manner.
• Demonstrate initiative in learning Smart Communications/Thunderhead products and applications.
• Support technical and personal skill development aligned with role expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 2 years of experience with Smart Communications and Interactive Draft Editor.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing multi-channel communications (print, web/HTML, email, SMS, fax, archive).
• Experience integrating Thunderhead with upstream systems (e.g., Guidewire) and document management systems (e.g., FileNet, Documentum, Alfresco).
• Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and messaging technologies (JMS, SOAP, REST, MQ).
• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Experience with application servers (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere).
• Ability to design and generate documents for batch, real-time, and interactive delivery.
• Experience with document composition tools such as HP Exstream or xPression.
