Integration Technical Project Manager -
Duration: 6 months +
Remote
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of integration projects: project charter, work breakdown structure, timeline, resourcing, and budget tracking.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and integration design documents in partnership with solution architects and developers.
- Maintain a working understanding of Workato concepts — recipes, connectors, triggers/actions, recipe lifecycle management, on-prem/cloud agents, error handling, and API platform (embedded workflows) — sufficient to lead technical conversations without needing a developer present.
- Run project governance: status reporting, steering committee updates, RAID logs, change requests, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including integration developers, QA/testers, client business analysts, and downstream application owners (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, SAP).
- Facilitate requirements workshops and discovery sessions to scope integration use cases and data flows across source and target systems.
- Manage UAT planning and execution, defect triage, and go-live/cutover coordination for Workato recipes and connected workflows.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, escalating scope, timeline, or resource issues before they impact delivery.
- Support pre-sales activities: scoping calls, level-of-effort estimates, and proposal input for Workato and broader integration engagements.
- Track recipe deployment status, environment promotion (dev/test/prod), and post-go-live monitoring/support handoff.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience delivering technology or integration projects, ideally within a consulting or systems integrator environment.
- Working knowledge of Workato or a comparable iPaaS platform (Boomi, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Celigo) — able to read/understand integration flows and communicate technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Strong grasp of integration fundamentals: APIs (REST/SOAP), webhooks, authentication (OAuth), data mapping/transformation, and error handling patterns.
- Proven experience running full project lifecycles — initiation through hypercare — with formal project management artifacts (project plan, RAID log, status reporting).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable presenting to executive sponsors and working directly with developers on technical detail.
- Experience coordinating UAT, defect management, and go-live cutover activities for integration or data projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workato certification (e.g., Workato Certified Professional) or equivalent iPaaS platform certification.
- Hands-on experience configuring or troubleshooting Workato recipes, connectors, or the Workato API Platform/embedded workflows.
- Experience integrating Workato with enterprise applications such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, or SAP.
- PMP, CSM/Scrum, or equivalent project management certification.
- Exposure to AI-enabled automation or agentic workflows built on Workato (e.g., Workato AI/MCP-based integrations).
