Scrum Master

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking two experienced Scrum Masters to support critical delivery initiatives across both API-focused and core business teams. This role is ideal for someone who has real-world experience delivering software-not just facilitating Agile ceremonies-and can proactively drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Agile delivery efforts across cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and high-quality releases
* Actively manage and support application release management processes
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.) while maintaining a strong focus on delivery outcomes
* Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to remove blockers and drive progress
* Proactively identify risks and coordinate mitigation strategies
* Engage with technical systems and tools (e.g., monitoring/logging platforms) to support release readiness and issue resolution
* Foster strong communication across all levels of the organization-both upward to leadership and downward to delivery teams
* Balance Agile best practices with practical execution, adapting approach as needed to meet delivery timelines

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role
* Proven experience with application release management
* Hands-on experience working within technical environments (without needing to code), including tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar
* Strong working knowledge of Jira
* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across teams
* Experience delivering software in real-world environments (-in the trenches- mindset)

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting API-driven initiatives or core business systems
* Ability to adapt Agile methodologies pragmatically (not overly process-driven)
* Highly proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
