Mid-Level Designer (UX/U

General Purpose of the Job

The Mid-Level Designer independently owns the end-to-end design process for product features. This role is vital for translating user needs, analytics, and data insights into high-quality, scalable, and accessible digital experiences. You will drive design execution, influence project roadmaps, and apply strategic thinking to improve both user experience and design efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full design process for features, proposing and evaluating multiple user-centered solutions.

   

•  

  Methodology & Principles: Execute projects using advanced knowledge of user-centered design, design thinking, and accessibility best practices.

   

•  

  Design Systems: Maintain and utilize complex components in Figma to ensure scalable and efficient design solutions.

   

•  

  AI Integration: Leverage AI-powered tools to create/test design variations, analyze user data, and optimize flows.

   

•  

  Cross-Functional Partnership: Drive collaboration with product, research, and development teams to influence design decisions and technical feasibility.

   

•  

  Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate design solutions to stakeholders and participate in project roadmap discussions.

   

•  

  Ideation: Assist in design thinking strategy sessions and capture key insights using established frameworks.

   

•  

  User Insights: Seek research feedback, understand user workflows, and incorporate stakeholder input into designs.

   

•  

  Analytics: Analyze user data to translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve key performance indicators (KPIs).

   

Requirements & Qualifications

•  

  Experience: 3–5 years of relevant design experience.

   

•  

  Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

   

•  

  Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Figma and design systems ; ability to quickly adapt to new design technologies.

   

•  

  Soft Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills ; open to receiving and applying constructive feedback.

   

Travel & Work Environment

•  

  Travel Requirements: * Once per month to visit users for observation.

   

  • Once per quarter for in-office days or team activities.

     

•  

  Work Environment: Level III - Moderate noise (business office).

   

•  

  Physical Demands: Requires manual dexterity for computer use; ability to lift between 5 lbs and 50 lbs unassisted.

   

•  

  Visual Requirements: Adequate vision for essential duties; may need to differentiate colors on test strips.
