Sr. Business Analyst (w/Oil&Gas Domain exp.)

Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst with report development experience

Location: Remote

Duration: Long term contract

Job Description:

• The candidate will perform advanced (senior-level) business analysis work related to implementing complex, emerging technology hardware and software projects to support the Mainframe Reports and Extract effort at RRC.
• Duties include:

• Using multiple methods to gather, develop, and document requirements.
• Reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes.
• Creating and validating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Providing research and special project support to users.
• Analysis and documentation for the implementation of multiple interrelated report projects.
• Data-focused work, including data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report development, and data posting on the DIR Open Data Portal or the RRC website.
• Ensuring deliverables and materials are produced and maintained according to established processes and procedures, are of consistent quality, and follow accepted business analysis methodologies.
• May assign and/or supervise the work of others.

• The role works under limited to minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
• Knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake, and data publishing are required.

REQUIRED SKILLS (with minimum years)

• 8 yrs – Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and written/verbal/presentation communication skills in English
• 8 yrs – Experience gathering requirements and creating reports
• 8 yrs – Facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions
• 5 yrs – Participating in and providing guidance to the business in developing and completing UAT, training, and implementation-related activities
• 2 yrs – Experience with Snowflake and Power BI

REQUIRED:

• 2 yrs – Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• RRC Oil and Gas systems knowledge/experience is a strong plus
