Role Overview
We are seeking a Engineer for an onsite position in Frisco, Texas. This role requires advanced technical expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting within complex enterprise and data center environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network infrastructure, security protocols, and various hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot network components, including routing, switching, and security appliances.
- Manage and implement changes in a complex network environment, utilizing platforms such as Infoblox and Bind.
- Design and support network security solutions, including device hardening, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Work with data center technologies, including Leaf & Spine architecture and EVPN-VXLAN.
- Assist in troubleshooting network and equipment problems to ensure operational stability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and processes.
- Work with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, and switching technologies including STP and RSTP.
- Manage network services like DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Advanced knowledge of networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with Ethernet, EVPN, IGMP, STP, RSTP, and 802.1x.
- Proficiency with Policy Based Routing, Quality of Service (QoS), and Netflow.
- Experience with HPE Aruba hardware (Mobility Controllers, Instant APs, Airwave, Central, ClearPass).
- Working experience on HPE Aruba, 3com, H3C, Arista, and Juniper switches.
- Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Checkpoint Firewalls.
- Strong experience with Juniper and Arista hardware switches, particularly QFx5120/5130 series.
- Knowledge of SDN and SD-WAN products and services.
- Experience with network monitoring tools like Solarwinds.
- Understanding of both IPv4 and IPv6.
- Key skills in Cybersecurity, Storage (SAN & NAS), and Database (SQL, Mongo).
