Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Alteryx Administrator to manage, govern, and optimize our Alteryx Server and Designer platform environment. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience administering enterprise analytics platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance while supporting a growing base of workflow developers and business users.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Alteryx Server, Designer, and related components across environments (dev, test, production).
Manage user access, licensing, roles, and permissions to ensure secure and compliant platform usage.
Monitor server health, job queues, and workflow performance; troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
Perform platform upgrades, patching, and capacity planning to support scaling business needs.
Establish and enforce governance standards, best practices, and workflow promotion processes.
Manage integrations between Alteryx and enterprise data sources, including databases, cloud storage, and BI tools.
Support and train workflow developers and business users on platform capabilities and standards.
Collaborate with IT, security, and data governance teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Maintain documentation for platform architecture, configurations, and administrative procedures.
Required Skills & Technology
8+ years of experience in platform/application administration, with significant hands-on Alteryx Server and Designer administration
Strong understanding of Alteryx licensing, security model, and user/role management
Experience with workflow performance tuning and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of SQL and integration with relational databases and cloud data sources
Familiarity with server infrastructure (Windows Server, IIS) and system monitoring tools
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices in an enterprise environment
Strong communication skills to support both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Alteryx Core/Advanced Certification
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and modern data lakehouse environments
Prior experience supporting large, multi-team analytics environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
