Senior Project Engineer - Subsea Fiber Optic Systems

Advantage Technical is placing a Project Engineer with a global leader in undersea fiber optic communications infrastructure - an organization whose technology powers the backbone of the internet across continents. What You'll Do
- Develop technical solutions for new subsea telecom cable systems using in-house design tools based on customer requirements
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Marine, Sales, PM) on technical proposals and bid strategy
- Define project scope for R&D engineers; support sales through contract negotiations and customer technical discussions
- Partner with PLM to define product features for system bids
- Assist in developing and testing software tools, templates, and calculators
What You Bring
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- Background in fiber optics and telecommunications
- Familiarity with coherent optical transmission, DWDM, EDFA/Raman amplification, ROADM preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
