Role Overview
We are seeking a Mail Engineer to perform software engineering functions, including the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems. This role involves applying appropriate principles, standards, and tools throughout the software development life cycle. The position requires working cooperatively with various service and engineering teams to ensure customer service and availability of Mail and MDM services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, integrate, test, release, maintain, and support Microsoft O365 Cloud, Exchange, Intune with Apple Business Manager, Azure, and Google Workspace.
- Manage incident requests and restorations based on urgency, impact, and priority, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements.
- Coordinate the change and release of Mail and MDM services, including patches and upgrades in production environments.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of service requests for role-based access, permissions, and functionality.
- Follow critical incident, event, and problem management processes to troubleshoot and restore services.
- Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and apply resolutions with IT teams and third-party vendors.
- Assess security vulnerabilities and implement remediation to reduce threats and risks.
- Assess and report on performance, access, licensing, and capacity, recommending solutions as needed.
- Create, update, and maintain designs, architectures, standard operating procedures (SOP), and knowledge articles.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
Required Qualifications
- A BS degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience is typical for this role. A Doctorate in a technical domain may also be considered.
- 8+ years of experience supporting Enterprise Messaging Services is required.
- Proven experience with the design, configuration, integration, testing, and support of Microsoft O365 Cloud, Exchange, Intune with Apple Business Manager, Azure, Office Suite, Outlook applications, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Security & Compliance.
- Must have Google Workspace engineer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to maintain an effective customer relationship and manage workload with leadership and end-users.
- Experience serving as a cohesive team member and a change agent.
- Certified in Microsoft O365 or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $45.00/hr and $51.50/hr.
