Scientist 2 - Chemistry

• The Scientist 2 - Chemistry will support laboratory operations within a GxP environment, performing a variety of lab operation activities including instrument management, chamber management, safety compliance, audits, and vendor coordination.
• The role requires strong collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, timely, and efficient laboratory operations.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years of industry laboratory experience, or Master s degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience working in a GxP regulated laboratory environment.
• Experience performing laboratory operations activities in an industry setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to drive completion of tasks in a timely and organized manner.

Experience:

• Experience with laboratory instrument management including calibration, preventive maintenance, IQ/OQ, onboarding, and documentation.
• Experience with chamber management including cleanouts, defrosts, and equipment/reagent handling.
• Experience supporting laboratory safety, housekeeping, and compliance activities.
• Experience participating in laboratory audits and quality assurance processes.
• Experience coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for lab operations.
• Experience using electronic laboratory notebooks and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory operations activities in a GxP environment.
• Manage laboratory instruments including maintenance scheduling, calibration, and onboarding.
• Support chamber management activities including cleanouts and equipment handling.
• Maintain laboratory safety, organization, and housekeeping standards.
• Support audits and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for lab operations support.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of lab activities.
• Ensure compliance with site quality and regulatory requirements.
• Use laboratory systems and tools to document and track activities.
• Work independently with limited supervision to complete assigned tasks.

Should Have:

• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience coordinating multi-functional lab operations.
• Familiarity with regulated laboratory environments and compliance practices.
