Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Senior Mobile Quality Engineer for a hybrid role.
Overview
This role focuses on ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of native iOS and Android mobile applications used by millions of banking customers. The Senior Mobile Quality Engineer will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, working closely with developers, product teams, and other quality engineers to ensure high-quality mobile application releases. This position sits within the partner organization's Technology organization and supports enterprise-scale mobile banking applications.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for native mobile banking applications
* Contribute to test automation frameworks for both iOS and Android mobile platforms
* Validate application functionality, performance, and reliability across mobile devices and environments
* Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as XCUI Test, Espresso, and other automation frameworks
* Execute API testing to validate service integrations supporting mobile applications.
* Perform performance and load testing using tools such as LoadRunner
* Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
* Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
* Work with developers to ensure proper test coverage for new features and enhancements
* Contribute to documentation and reporting of test strategies, results, and quality metrics
* Monitor application performance and identify areas for quality improvements
* Performs work with some independence, contributing immediately to ongoing testing efforts while collaborating closely with senior engineers and leadership on more complex challenges
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
* 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or software testing
* Experience testing native mobile applications (iOS and Android)
* Experience with test automation frameworks for mobile applications
* Experience with qTest for test management
* Experience with Sauce Labs or similar mobile testing platforms
* Experience with XCUI Test (iOS) and Espresso (Android) automation frameworks
* Experience performing API testing, ideally in environments using .NET-based services
* Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner
* Familiarity with Swift or Kotlin and mobile development architectures
* Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
* Experience testing applications that integrate with third-party libraries and APIs
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in Agile Scrum environments
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale mobile applications
* Experience working in financial services or regulated environments
* Demonstrated experience contributing to improvements in test automation coverage and quality engineering practices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
