Description: We are seeking a visionary
Senior Software Architect to serve as the primary technical authority for our global SaaS ecosystem. In this high-impact role, you will spearhead the modernization of legacy frameworks into a high-scale, cloud-native architecture. You will be responsible for designing resilient, distributed systems that support international growth while ensuring top-tier security and product excellence.
This is a
hybrid position requiring three days per week on-site at our facility on the southside of
Sacramento, CA facility.
Core Responsibilities- Architectural Strategy: Define and own the end-to-end technical roadmap, transitioning existing systems to a microservices-based, cloud-native infrastructure (specifically leveraging Google Cloud Platform).
- Modernization & Migration: Lead the re-platforming of core applications, utilizing managed services such as Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud SQL, and Pub/Sub to enhance reliability and global performance.
- Standards & Mentorship: Establish engineering excellence across the full stack (Angular, React, Java, and Data Platforms). Act as a mentor to engineering teams, conducting deep-dive code reviews and architectural audits.
- Security & Compliance: Partner with InfoSec to bake "Privacy by Design" into the platform, ensuring alignment with global regulations like GDPR and LGPD through robust encryption and access controls.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, collaborating closely with Product and Executive leadership.
- Global Scalability: Design for multi-region availability, disaster recovery, and internationalization to support a seamless user experience across different geographic territories.
- DevOps Integration: Oversee the implementation of sophisticated CI/CD pipelines, containerization strategies (Docker), and automated deployment models.
Professional Requirements- Experience: 10+ years in software architecture with a proven focus on enterprise-level SaaS platforms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Cloud Mastery: Extensive experience leading cloud transformations; deep proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) is highly preferred, though AWS or Azure expertise is valued.
- Technical Stack:
- Front-End: Advanced knowledge of React, Angular, and TypeScript for responsive, single-page applications.
- Back-End: Expert-level development skills in Java (Spring Boot), Python (Flask/Django), or Node.js.
- Data: Strong background in relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database design.
- Distributed Systems: Mastery of microservices, API management (Apigee), and event-driven architectures.
- Tooling: Hands-on experience with GitLab/Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Infrastructure components like Akamai.
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to both highly technical engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications- Professional certifications in Cloud Architecture (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure).
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Proven track record in fine-tuning application performance and security compliance within a cloud environment.
