About the Role

Client is seeking an experienced AWS Data Scientist with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), advanced analytics, and Python development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable, cloud-native data science solutions on AWS while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams.

This role requires hands-on involvement across the complete data science lifecycle, from data exploration and model development to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields

  • Strong expertise in AI/ML techniques, including:

    • Supervised and unsupervised learning

    • Natural Language Processing (NLP)

    • Deep Learning

  • Advanced Python programming skills with experience using:

    • Pandas

    • NumPy

    • Scikit-learn

    • TensorFlow

    • PyTorch

  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including:

    • SageMaker

    • S3

    • Redshift

    • Glue

    • Athena

    • Lambda

  • Strong understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms

  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization techniques

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions on AWS cloud platforms

  • Build and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines using AWS services such as SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, and ECR

  • Perform data analysis, feature engineering, model training, validation, and optimization using Python

  • Work with large-scale datasets utilizing AWS data services including S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift

  • Implement MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and version management

  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable AI/ML solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty and/or AWS Solutions Architect Certification

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark

  • Exposure to real-time analytics and streaming data pipelines

  • Experience working within financial services or other regulated industries
