Cybersecurity Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist in San Antonio, TX to support governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives within a growing cybersecurity program. This role will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping organizations strengthen cybersecurity posture, manage risk, and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and industry frameworks.

Responsibilities:
* Support cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance programs
* Develop, maintain, and enhance security policies, standards, procedures, and controls
* Assist with risk assessments, vulnerability management, vendor risk reviews, and compliance initiatives
* Support disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, data privacy, and security awareness programs
* Evaluate security controls against industry frameworks and best practices
* Monitor regulatory and cybersecurity requirements and provide guidance on compliance efforts
* Prepare reports, metrics, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders
* Translate technical cybersecurity concepts into business-focused recommendations

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree required in a Computer Science or Cybersecurity field of study
* Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGRC, CISA, Security+, GSEC, or similar cybersecurity certifications
* 5+ years of cybersecurity, information security, risk management, compliance, or related experience
* Experience working within a cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance function
* Experience working with cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures
* Understanding of security control frameworks and regulatory requirements

Preferred Experience:
* Experience supporting K-12, higher education, government, or public sector organizations
* Experience with vendor risk management and third-party security reviews
* Familiarity with artificial intelligence, governance, compliance, or risk management
* Experience supporting audit activities and compliance programs

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
