- Industry experience is going to be really important here
- Need to have the ability to present to executive stakeholders-- only a 250 person company
- Nice to have: any reporting experience is super beneficial
- Loosely Agile, that experience would be beneficial
- Been using Nimica-- this is a process mapping tool, this records users and every click they take on the screen-- uses AI to aggregate what they''re doing, a lot of critical thinking skills
- Tools:
- Jira, confluence
- Visily tool
- Microsoft
- Could be C2H
- Help document frameworks to go forward as well
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. This individual will play a critical role in understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, challenging assumptions, and driving solutions that improve operational efficiency and outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Workers'' Compensation and/or Healthcare, excellent requirement gathering and analysis skills, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and define business needs.
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to gather, document, and validate functional and business requirements.
- Analyze complex business problems and translate needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Facilitate discussions, ask thoughtful questions, and challenge assumptions to ensure optimal business outcomes.
- Create process flows, user journeys, workflows, and business documentation to support solution design and implementation.
- Collaborate with claims, operations, and technology teams to understand business processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Present findings, recommendations, and requirements documentation to both business and executive stakeholders.
- Support Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies through backlog refinement, user story development, and requirements prioritization.
- Assist with reporting and data analysis initiatives as needed.
- Quickly learn new business domains, technologies, and processes to support evolving project needs.
Required Qualifications
· 5-7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Business Analyst.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive consensus across business and technical teams.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable asking difficult questions, identifying gaps, and constructively challenging stakeholder assumptions.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with reporting, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives.
- Experience creating process maps and documenting current-state/future-state business processes.
- Exposure to Agile or Agile-hybrid delivery environments.
- Ability to quickly learn new business domains and technologies.
- Self-starter with a proactive, consultative mindset.

- Visily (preferred)
- Experience with process intelligence/process mining tools such as Nimica or similar platforms is a plus
