Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Databricks Analytics Consultant to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in developing and delivering data analytics solutions, governed data applications, and cloud-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support data analytics solutions using Azure Databricks.
Perform data querying, data wrangling, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics.
Build and deploy data-driven applications using Databricks Apps.
Implement data governance and access controls using Unity Catalog.
Integrate Databricks solutions with Azure commercial cloud services.
Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
Support business development initiatives, including RFP/RFQ responses and prototype development.
Required Qualifications:
8–10 years of relevant professional experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Hands-on familiarity with Azure Databricks and its major components.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark.
Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Databricks Apps, and Azure cloud services.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Prior consulting or client-facing experience.
Must be based in the United States and able to work EST hours.
Must be eligible to obtain Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing, governing, or deploying Azure Databricks solutions.
Knowledge of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
Existing VA PIV badge and ePAS access.
Healthcare analytics or health plan/provider operations experience.
Experience with VA data systems such as CDW, VSSC, PPMS, CCRS, and Summit Data Platform.
Experience preparing technical proposals, white papers, and prototype solutions.
Interview Process: 2–3 remote interview rounds.
