Job Description
We are hiring a full-time Data Engineering Manager to lead analytics engineering efforts for a well-established, enterprise-scale financial services organization. This company operates a modern, cloud-based data platform supporting high-volume, highly regulated business operations. The role sits at the intersection of cloud data warehousing, analytics engineering, BI, and system integrations, with a strong focus on stability, security, and speed.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to shape the data strategy, not just maintain pipelines. You'll lead a small but impactful analytics team, make real architectural decisions, and partner closely with software engineering on integrations that directly power business outcomes. The organization values autonomy, promotes from within, and offers strong work-life balance alongside meaningful technical challenges.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering
2+ years managing or technically leading a data team
Deep experience with Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse
Advanced SQL and strong data modeling expertise (star schema, SCDs, normalization tradeoffs)
Hands-on experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker)
Experience integrating Salesforce Sales Cloud (SOQL, custom objects, relationships)
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or Airbyte
Background in data governance, PII handling, and compliance-driven environments
Strong ability to translate business logic into scalable technical solutions

What You Will Be Doing

Manage and mentor a team of analysts responsible for dashboards, reporting, and data models
Own data warehouse architecture, schema design, and performance optimization
Partner with engineering on ETL pipelines, APIs, and source system changes
Establish standards for data quality, access controls, and documentation
Evaluate and implement tools across the modern data stack
Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable analytics solutions

Tech Breakdown

40% Cloud Data Warehousing & SQL (Snowflake / Azure)
25% ETL / Data Integration & Architecture
15% BI & Analytics Enablement
20% Management, Mentorship & Stakeholder Collaboration

Daily Responsibilities

50% Hands On
25% Management Duties
25% Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

The Offer

You will receive the following benefits:
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
Vacation Time
401(k) with employer match
Additional employee-focused financial and wellness benefits
