Summary

Description:
Hybrid (mainly onsite) in Westlake, TX

Our client seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help modernize cloud-native platforms supporting customers.

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for our client, apply if you'd like to join a small, fast-growing technology team within the financial services / insurance space. This team operates with a true startup mindset while being backed by a large, stable enterprise.

The tech stack centers on Java, Angular, NodeJS, and AWS, with a focus on scalable microservices and high-quality delivery.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong emphasis on modern UI development, building cloud-native applications that support high-impact, customer-facing platforms. While the work is heavily front-end focused, this role requires engineers who understand and can work across the full stack, including backend services and cloud integrations.

You'll collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and business partners to design, build, and deliver scalable solutions that support multiple business verticals to deliver prioritized features while promoting engineering excellence.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $63.00 to $67.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular and/or React
  • Contribute to full SDLC activities including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Develop and integrate with backend services using Java and Node.js
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver prioritized features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on quality and performance
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving production issues
  • Promote engineering best practices and contribute to a culture of technical excellence

Experience Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of hands-on software development experience
  • Strong UI/front-end development experience with Angular and/or React
  • Working knowledge of Java, Node.js, and service-based architectures
  • Experience building and integrating REST-based services
  • Exposure to microservices or micro-frontend architectures
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-native application development, including services such as:
    • ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, VPC, Load Balancing
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Knowledge of static code analysis tools (e.g., Sonar or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What Makes This Role Unique
  • Senior-level, hands-on coding role (not an oversight-only position)
  • Frontend-heavy work while retaining full-stack ownership
  • Opportunity to help shape and modernize platforms within a growing organization
  • Small team environment with visibility, impact, and room to grow
  • Work on strategic, customer-facing platforms used at scale
