Hybrid Onsite 5 days/week, alternating weeks in Westlake, TX

Our client seeks a Front End-focused Full Stack Engineer to build omnichannel user experiences and platform capabilities. The role emphasizes Angular and TypeScript, modern JavaScript tooling, and Node.js services within agile teams. You will architect features end to end, mentor engineers, and drive continuous delivery and quality.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Translate product vision into scalable web and mobile solutions by developing complex or multiple applications and evaluating alternatives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications and subsystems.
  • Participate in iteration planning to maintain team velocity and deliver quality each sprint.
  • Analyze business requirements and system development specifications.
  • Perform problem solving, troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support, and maintenance of existing applications.
  • Resolve technical roadblocks across multiple technologies.
  • Ensure efficient and effective code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Coordinate delivery of technical components across internal and external technical teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Drive process improvements to maximize product team velocity.

Experience Requirements:
  • Proven expertise architecting and developing multi-tier, internet-facing web and mobile applications and APIs.
  • Experience producing detailed technical specifications and architectures for complex systems.
  • Background mentoring engineers, managing technology roadmaps, and facilitating collaboration across technology partners.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js applications in a Scrum environment.
  • Front-end development with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and browser developer tools.
  • Building continuous JavaScript environments using tools such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.
  • Employing DevOps, automated testing, and continuous delivery with tools such as Groovy, Jenkins, or Concourse.
  • Experience with containerization, Docker, and orchestration.
  • Exposure to native mobile development for iOS and/or Android.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Understanding of HTTP-based APIs, networking, and internet fundamentals.
  • Strong skills with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and browser developer tools.
  • Understanding of asynchronous code including Promises, callbacks, and event loops.
  • Experience with JS tooling such as ESLint, Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.
  • Experience with an Angular MV* framework.
  • Knowledge of visual design and rapid prototyping.
  • Expertise with at least one IDE such as VS Code or WebStorm.
  • Node.js ecosystem experience, including NPM and Express.
  • Automation tools and frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium, or Protractor.
  • Advanced Git proficiency.
  • API design and development with microservices architecture.
  • Experience applying DevOps, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
