As a Virtual Construction Manager with Messer Construction Company,you will be responsible for managing projects and processes.You willbe requiredto delegate tasks effectively and work with reports to ensureprocess adherence and deliverable quality.You willbe requiredtodemonstratea high levelofproficiencyin reviewing submittalsandthe contractdocuments, including the specifications.

What Will You Do:

  • Manage the process ofdeveloping, integrating, coordinating, and managing digital models for design, construction,and field use during construction.
  • Work with reports tomaintainthe quality of 3D models throughout the life of a project.
  • Manage the process ofshopdrawingproduction andmodel productionin support of our self-performance efforts.
  • Skilledinreviewing3D modelsproduced by architects and/or engineers andevaluateconformance to schematic design, design development,or construction document requirements.
  • Coordinateand prepare models withEstimating forquantity extraction to enableModel-BasedCost Planning.
  • Help refine and manage our BIM application capabilities, training programs, and provide training support to our operationsstaffleveragingVirtual Design and Construction applications.
  • Support the BIM execution planning process with designers, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and prepare models with field engineers to export layoutpoints for use with fieldsurvey equipment.
  • Manage theReality Captureprocess of coordinatingand preparingpoint cloud/UAV data to work with design and construction model progression,including managing the tasks of reports.
  • Manage the process of creatingmodels for AR/VR to be used in the fieldand withowner/designer interaction withVR-aidedexperiences.
  • Manage theprocess and work with reportsforthe creation of models, model animations, video, etc.,to supportBusiness Developmentproject requirements and pursuits.
  • Managemodelpreparationto be used for safety planningin support of our Zero Injurysafetyprogram.
  • Research, develop,and implement a documented best practice process for the use of supporting new Virtual Construction technologiesas part of the delivery of construction services.
  • Act as a resource to prime subcontractorsutilizing VDC to coordinate MEP and structural trades, including technical information and process support.
  • Participate in the hiring ofco-opsand interns.Manage theworkload of co-opsand interns.
  • Support the onboarding process of newhires.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor\'sdegreerequired.Civil Engineering, ArchitectureEngineering,ConstructionManagement,or related fieldpreferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in virtual construction engineering, preferably in a commercial construction environment.
  • Advancedin producing/manipulating 3D models using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Trimble SketchUp, or other model authoring software
