Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a qualified Project Manager for Maternal and Child Health (MCH) applications. These applications are used to improve the physical, socio-emotional health, safety, and well-being of women, infants, children, adolescents, and their families. This position is housed within the technology services division and is responsible for overseeing all facets of the MCH technology team. The candidate will be responsible for initiating and coordinating meetings with stakeholders and overseeing applications that impact Maternal Child Health.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
- Applying organizational IT SDLC methodology and enforcing project standards.
- Preparing for requirements reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Minimizing exposure and risk on the project.
- Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Tracking and reporting team project status to the branch manager on a weekly basis or as needed.
- Facilitating team and client meetings effectively.
- Communicating effectively to the client on a daily or weekly basis.
- Managing client expectations.
- Holding regular status meetings with the project team.
- Keeping the project team well-informed of changes in project status.
- Conveying engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
- Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion.
Teamwork:
- Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member s contributions.
- Effectively utilizes each team member to their full potential.
- Motivates the team to work together in the most efficient manner.
- Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.

Essential skills:
- Professional Project Management Certification from an accredited institution.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience managing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid software development projects.
- Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and change management.
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Experience managing software vendors and contractual deliverables.
- Experience reviewing technical and functional documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar project management and work management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with business and technical teams.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing large-scale Information Technology projects.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
- Possess a general understanding of the areas of application programming, database, and system design.
- Self-managed, highly motivated, and has a strong drive for results.
- Skilled in managing a team.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor s Degree or other advanced degree preferably in an IT-related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.
- Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
- Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head off obstacles.
