Principal Duties:
The Senior Project Manager of Data & AI Products directs the lifecycle of artificial intelligence initiatives across the enterprise. This role ensures that AI solutions are developed with integrity, scaled with excellence, and governed by strict ethical and clinical standards to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
1. Directs the AI Project Lifecycle: Leads the end-to-end execution of AI programs, from initial discovery and proof-of-concept to full-scale clinical or operational deployment.
2. Establishes Governance Frameworks: Implements rigorous data privacy and ethical AI standards to ensure algorithmic transparency and mitigate bias in decision-making.
3. Facilitates Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinates between data scientists, clinical leads, and IT security to ensure AI models integrate seamlessly with existing electronic health records.
4. Manages Technical Roadmaps: Develops detailed program schedules and resource allocations, utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies to maintain momentum in high-speed development cycles.
5. Drives Capability Building: Provides technical guidance to junior staff and clinical stakeholders to increase organizational AI literacy and supports team capability building.
6. Evaluates Model Performance: Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to model accuracy, reliability, and clinical impact, reporting findings to the Steering Committee.
7. Upholds ICARE Values: Models respect by engaging diverse interdisciplinary teams and demonstrates accountability by proactively identifying and mitigating program risks.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Senior Project Manager within the Program Management Office require an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills that will apply principles, techniques and best practices in the planning, organizing and implementation of high-profile and complex projects or programs. The right candidate must have experience preparing and managing project documentation, including scope, schedules budgets, and quality. This individual must possess sound judgement, professionalism and diplomacy.
General Tasks And Responsibilities Will Include:
Formulates the project or program management plan, in accordance with the scope, budget, timing and quality as set by stakeholders
Specifies the resourcing of the project, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used
Leads the project team in terms of quality, spend, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing all assigned project resources
Reports on Issues and Risks and may take ownership of same through to resolution
Produces Project/Program Status Reports
Continually follows up with internal and external project team members
Directs assigned project resources and gives them operational guidance, technically and organizationally
Potentially responsible for the direct management of Assistant Directors and Junior Level Project Managers
Coaches and manages PMO staff and project team(s).
Preferred Qualifications for The Job:
CERTIFICATION(S)/NYS LICENSE(S):
HEAVILY PREFERRED: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
Certified Scrum Master
Knowledgeable In:
Budget Management
PM tools, i.e. MS project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio
Other Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a Hospital setting/Healthcare Organization
Experience working in an Agile work environment
Educational Level:
Minimum Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions
Years of Experience:
8-10 years experience in IT Program Management
