About the JobWe are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Cybersecurity organization. In this role, you will help design and build secure, scalable software solutions that protect sensitive enterprise data and reduce high-priority cyber risks. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity teams to influence secure design patterns and deliver high-quality applications used across the enterprise.
This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership, contribute to enterprise-wide engineering standards, and support the development of critical cybersecurity capabilities.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain cybersecurity-focused software applications.
- Lead or contribute to architectural design decisions for secure, large-scale systems.
- Build high-quality, maintainable software using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Apply secure coding practices and collaborate with cybersecurity partners to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and integrate APIs and data services using GraphQL, MongoDB, and SQL (MSSQL preferred).
- Review complex technical solutions and evaluate trade-offs across business, security, and technology requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Deploy and operate applications on Kubernetes using configuration-as-code (YAML/TOML).
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional partners to solve complex technical challenges.
- Mentor peers or lead small project teams as needed.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications with JavaScript and modern frameworks (Node.js, React, TypeScript).
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Next.js and frontend or full-stack application development.
- Familiarity with secure development and code analysis tools (e.g., Checkmarx, Black Duck).
- Strong experience with MongoDB (MQL), SQL, GraphQL, and database CLI tools.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and package management tools (npm/Yarn).
- Experience working across cybersecurity, architecture, and platform engineering teams.
- Programming experience in Python and basic familiarity with Java (for automation or tooling).
- Exposure to large-scale systems, data-intensive applications, system administration, or networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with additional languages such as Go, Rust, C, or C++.
- Experience with enterprise UI libraries (e.g., Kendo for React) or deployment platforms such as Harness.
Additional Information- This position is eligible for conversion to a full-time role.
