Overview:
The VA NSOC defends, manages, and monitors the network operating status and cyber security posture of the VA by providing the day-to-day management, operation and configuration of the enterprise network infrastructure, Internet Gateways, the delivery of enterprise security systems and services, the monitoring and reporting of security incidents, the conduct of threat and vulnerability analysis, the validation of adequate security controls within the enterprise and the full range of functions across the spectrum of activities relating to incident management, incident response and enterprise network management.
The Asset Manager manages the complete lifecycle of assets / Configuration Items (CIs) from procurement (start), to decommissioning (finish). As the subject matter expert forlogistics, performs and coordinates detailedlogisticsanalysis of IT assets, provideslogisticssupport, implements and evaluates the logistic goals and priorities for theCRRCVA Network & Security Operations Center. This position is located in Martinsburg, WV and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities:
Activelyparticipatesasrequiredin support projectsof major scope and complexity.Advises the VA-NSOCin the area oflogisticsoperations; developslogisticsmethods & procedures in the areas of asset control, inventory management, accountability; oversees the coordination, determination, redistribution and implements tactical standard operating procedures for reutilization and disposal of IT excess equipment.
- Manage MAC tickets viaService Now(Moves, Adds, Changes)
- Shipping and Receiving of Assets (Logistics)
- Perform audits of all IT assets within the VA-NSOC (Annual Inventories)
- Able to adaptandutilizeERP systems to create andmodifyconfigured items
- Monitor all IT assets from procurement through disposition for compliance to VA policies
- Experience with large asset management andlogisticsenvironment
- Moderateskills using the Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in use of Excel spreadsheets
- Moderateskillsusingaticketing system.
- Install,removeand transport server equipment
- General technical understanding of network equipment and functions, datacenter operations
- Follow schematics to coordinate a proper installation of hardware for networking devices
- Determineslogisticssupport sequences and time phasing
- Good writingand interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Education / Experience:Bachelor?swith 0 - 2 years (orcommensurateexperience)
- Physical Requirements:Sits up to 6 hours per day using close vision, repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (tooperatecomputer equipment),lifts upto50pounds.
- Background Investigation: Must be able to pass a government Tier2ModerateBackground Investigation
Posted Salary Range: USD $60,800.00 - USD $74,830.00 /Yr.
