We are hiring Developer-Full Stack Senior!

Role: Developer-Full Stack Senior

Supporting: Large Financial Services Client

Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Assignment Type: Contract Only

Duration: ~11 Months

Role Overview:

Join a team that values strong engineering fundamentals and modern delivery practices. In this senior role, you'll design and build microservices with Java/Spring and cloud-native tooling, develop Angular UI components, and improve quality and reliability through testing discipline, static analysis, and delivery pipelines, then support the systems you deliver.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user stories, participate in design discussions, and develop scalable application solutions
  • Build and deploy microservices using Java/JEE, Spring/Spring Boot, Docker, and AWS/Kubernetes
  • Replace legacy monolithic systems with modern cloud-enabled architectures
  • Develop front-end applications using Angular, HTML, CSS/SCSS
  • Perform unit testing and support application deployment and ongoing production support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production defects with speed and precision
  • Contribute to evolving microservices best practices within the team


Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience (preferred) in software development
  • Strong expertise in Java (8 or 17) and Spring/Spring Boot
  • Experience with microservices architecture, AWS cloud, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency working with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle, or DB2)
  • Hands-on experience with Angular (Java-based GUI development required)
  • Agile experience (Scrum, Lean, or Kanban) with a focus on continuous delivery
  • Experience with TDD, BDD, and static code analysis
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Spinnaker
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset

Nice to Have:
  • AI / ChatGPT or AI development tools experience
  • Python or non-relational (NoSQL) database experience


Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $70.00 and $82.26

per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
