Looking for Endpoint Deployment Engineer for CYBERSECURITY DIVISION
Location: Plano, Texas, United States
Description
We are looking for a highly motivated contractor to fill a role as a Global Halcyon Deployment Engineer.
Your primary responsibility is to lead the enterprise-wide deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of the Halcyon anti-ransomware platform across client global infrastructure. Operating under the Information Security mandate, you will drive the end-to-end rollout strategy, ensuring consistent agent coverage, policy enforcement, and operational health across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments spanning multiple regions.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and brings deep technical expertise in endpoint security agent deployment at scale enabling you to execute a complex global rollout with precision, minimal business disruption, and measurable results.
What You'll Be Doing - Global Agent Deployment & Rollout: Assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of the Halcyon agent deployment across global endpoints, including workstations, servers, and virtual environments. Coordinate rollout waves, manage deployment timelines, and track progress against project milestones to ensure full enterprise coverage.
- Agent Configuration & Policy Management: Configure and tune Halcyon agent policies tailored to regional, business unit, and environment-specific requirements. Ensure policies align with organizational security standards and do not introduce conflicts with existing endpoint security tooling.
- Endpoint Compatibility & Troubleshooting: Assess endpoint readiness and resolve compatibility issues across diverse operating systems, hardware configurations, and software environments. Troubleshoot deployment failures, agent communication issues, and performance impacts to ensure seamless installation and operation.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop and leverage scripts using Python and PowerShell to automate deployment tasks, generate health reports, validate agent status across endpoints, and streamline large-scale rollout activities. Build tooling to identify gaps in coverage and accelerate remediation.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner closely with regional IT teams, infrastructure engineers, endpoint management teams, and Information Security stakeholders to coordinate deployment windows, communicate change management requirements, and resolve environment-specific challenges across global locations.
- Health Monitoring & Reporting: Establish and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track deployment progress, agent health, policy compliance, and coverage metrics. Proactively identify and remediate unhealthy or non-reporting agents to maintain operational integrity.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Develop and maintain comprehensive deployment runbooks, configuration guides, troubleshooting documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams for long-term operational sustainment post-deployment.
Requirements
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in endpoint security engineering or deployment, with hands-on expertise in large-scale security agent rollouts across enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience deploying and managing endpoint security agents (e.g., Halcyon, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, Carbon Black, or similar platforms) across global, multi-region infrastructures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python and PowerShell, with demonstrated ability to automate deployment, monitoring, and reporting tasks at scale.
- Strong understanding of endpoint management tools and practices (e.g., SCCM/MECM, Intune, GPO, or equivalent) used to facilitate agent deployment and policy distribution.
- Experience working across diverse operating system environments, including Windows Server, Windows Desktop, and Linux distributions.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills with the ability to collaborate across time zones and influence stakeholders at all levels, including regional IT teams, security leadership, and third-party vendors.
Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
- Direct experience with the Halcyon anti-ransomware platform.
- Familiarity with ransomware defense strategies, endpoint hardening, and anti-tamper technologies.
- Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud environments, with experience deploying and managing security agents in cloud-hosted and hybrid workloads.
- Experience with endpoint management and deployment platforms such as SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or Tanium.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices applied to agent deployment automation.
