Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Federal Construction Superintendent to lead the field execution of an upcoming ground-up federal facilities project in South Florida.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing all field operations from mobilization through final turnover while ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all contract requirements.

The ideal candidate has successfully led ground-up federal vertical construction projects valued between $7M-$12M and possesses a thorough understanding of all phases of commercial construction, from underground utilities through final finishes.

Typical Project Scope

Projects may include:

Ground-up administrative and operational facilities
Structural steel and pre-engineered building systems
Complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations
Site development and earthwork
Underground utility installation
Parking areas, sidewalks, and exterior improvements
Stormwater infrastructure
Building commissioning and project closeout

Responsibilities

Lead all daily field operations from mobilization through completion
Supervise subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades
Maintain project schedules and sequencing
Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and federal quality standards
Promote and enforce jobsite safety
Coordinate inspections, testing, and project turnover
Work closely with the Project Manager to resolve field issues
Maintain daily reports and project documentation
Manage site logistics, deliveries, and workforce planning
Build strong working relationships with owners, inspectors, and subcontractors

Qualifications

5+ years of Superintendent experience on comparable federal construction projects
Experience leading ground-up vertical commercial or federal projects valued between $7M-$12M
Experience managing projects from sitework through final finishes, including:
Earthwork
Underground utilities
Concrete
Structural systems
Building envelope
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Interior and exterior finishes
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Excellent leadership, scheduling, and communication skills
Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB)
Previous work for federal agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, VA, NPS, GSA, Air Force, or other Department of Defense clients
OSHA 30 Certification
Experience with Procore or similar construction management software
