As an Enterprise Business Architect, you will join the Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment and Planning
Partner with business and IT executives to translate strategic goals into target business architectures and capability roadmaps
Define and maintain the enterprise business capability model for the L&A value chain (new business, underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, and customer servicing)
Align business capabilities with enterprise data, applications, and technology domains
Support the definition of business cases and investment prioritization by providing architectural insights
Architecture Design and Governance
Lead development of current- and target-state business architectures that support modernization and transformation efforts, including cloud migration, digital servicing, and AI/automation initiatives
Ensure consistency and reuse across programs and business lines through architectural principles, standards, and frameworks
Partner with solution and domain architects to ensure technology designs align to business capabilities and desired outcomes
Provide architecture governance oversight during project execution to ensure adherence to enterprise strategy
Process and Capability Optimization
Analyze and document business processes and information flows across new business, policy administration, and claims functions
Identify opportunities for process simplification, digitization, and improved integration across platforms and third-party systems
Champion enterprise platforms and reusable business services to drive efficiency and reduce redundancy
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
Facilitate cross-functional workshops with business leaders, architects, and delivery teams to co-create architecture artifacts and future-state visions
Communicate complex architecture concepts in clear, business-relevant terms to diverse audiences
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, influencing decision-making with a strategic, enterprise-wide perspective
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in Life and Annuity insurance, including deep knowledge of policy administration, new business, underwriting, and claims processes
3+ years of experience in enterprise or business architecture, preferably in a large insurance or financial services organization
Proven experience developing business capability models, operating models, and transformation roadmaps
Strong understanding of financial services processes and technologies, including core insurance systems, digital platforms, risk management, compliance, and security
Experience leading digital and operational transformation in insurance or financial services, including cloud adoption and leveraging AI/InsurTech to enhance operations and customer experience
Understanding of enterprise data architecture, data governance, and analytics enablement
Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools, such as BOC ADOIT
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $195,000 or the hourly equivalent.
