The QA Engineer's responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues. The QA Engineer will perform some, or all, of the following types of testing: functional, regression, usability, and load/performance. The QA Engineer will work with business and technical stakeholders on major enhancements and support requests as a member of the Enterprise Systems team.
1. Waterfall experience is a must
2. Experience working with JD Edwards and Workday are huge bonus points.
3. Ability to use problem statements from the business users to generate test cases
4. Good understanding of the Manufacturing Business process (not an expert but at least exposed to it and understand).
5. Ability to lead QA effort but keep in mind this is not a software development shop, but instead they buy COTS Products (JDE, TeamCenter, etc ) and integrate them within their enterprise and supply chain).
Able to coordinate testing efforts of multiple QA resources on a multi- S print project
Capable of analyzing functional requirements documents, and identifying gaps in those requirements, with respect to the product they apply to.
Can design and execute load tests, and comprehensive automated tests for complex systems.
Develops, runs, and maintains manual tests and test cases within the software test suite; follows up with leads to have test plans reviewed and approved, executes tests, & records results and defects
Thoroughly understands client business functions and technology needs. Has a broad understanding of technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business areas and systems.
Interfaces with cross-functional team members and communicates systems issues at the appropriate technical level for each audience.
Manage changes according to change management policies and processes
Consistently demonstrate company values and expected behaviors.
A Bachelor s degree in IT/ Computer science or equivalent experience.
5+ years related work experience designing and executing test plans.
5+ years of working experience in large enterprise
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
