Project scope

Position Focus
The client is looking for a hands-on Oracle Cloud HCM (Human Capital Management) FDI (Fusion Data Intelligence) expert who can serve as an internal subject matter expert and functional/technical resource.

The role is not intended for someone who only manages external consultants. The expectation is to bring the Oracle hands on knowledge in-house and reduce dependency on external resources.

Description

Oracle HCM Module Experience

The candidate should have strong experience in at least one or two Oracle HCM modules, ideally including areas such as:

• Recruiting
• Performance Management
• Compensation
• Payroll is good to have but not a MUST

Experience across multiple modules is preferred, but deep hands-on expertise in one or two modules can still be considered.

FDI / Analytics

Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) is a MUST

Useful experience includes:

• Building and customizing dashboards
• Creating custom calculations and formulas (turnover for example)
• Adjusting standard Oracle functionality to specific business rules
• Developing visualizations and reporting models
• Supporting workforce intelligence / analytics

The client emphasized that this is not a supervisor role – this is a hand on SME to do the work. The broader Oracle Cloud HCM system administration and configuration experience is a must.

Functional HR Knowledge

Working knowledge of HR processes is helpful because the person will support HR-related systems and business requirements.  Work experience in a hospital is a plus.

However, this remains primarily an Oracle HCM FDI systems/configuration role, not a traditional HR role.

The client wants this person to become an internal Oracle expert who can:

• Optimize the company's existing Oracle investment
• Reduce reliance on external consultants
• Support ongoing Oracle HCM improvements
• Configure solutions internally
• Support future upgrades and enhancements
• Translate business requirements into Oracle configurations
• Help HR and IT better leverage the platform

Current / Upcoming Environment

The organization is working on upgrades and enhancements across its Oracle HCM environment.

The selected person may participate in:

• Module migrations/upgrades
• Testing
• New functionality implementation
• Configuration changes
• Troubleshooting
• Continuous system improvement

Mandatory skills

• Minimum 3+ years of direct, hands-on Oracle experience
• Strong experience with Oracle Cloud HCM
• Must have practical experience with:
• Oracle HCM system administration
• Configuration
• Customization
• Testing
• Troubleshooting
• System enhancements
• Implementation of new functionalities
• Process optimization
• Candidate must be able to explain specific Oracle configuration projects they personally executed
• Must have experience working directly in the system, not only coordinating vendors or consultants

Desirable skills
