Location: Durham, North Carolina (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
The Business Systems Analyst will elicit, document, and track requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information, and information systems. This role involves developing requirements for departmental and corporate projects, collaborating with project teams to maintain solution scope, and supporting business readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and track requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information, and information systems for intermediate-level business problems.
- Develop and elicit requirements for departmental and some corporate projects as requested by internal/external customers; prepare business and functional requirements.
- Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and identified SMEs.
- Collaborate with project teams to adhere to solution scope and maintain requirements traceability.
- Support and execute business readiness activities including the communication plan to support changes to technology, processes, and people.
- Develop new procedures, specifications for system changes, or recommendations for product and/or process changes.
- Design customer feedback mechanisms, analyze results, and create plans to address weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools to measure business area performance and ensure data integrity.
- Use industry-standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, and business process mapping.
- Perform peer reviews of work from less experienced analysts as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required. In lieu of a degree, five years of experience in a related field is acceptable.
Experience: Three or more years of experience in a related field is required.
