Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide day-to-day technical support for end users in San Francisco, California. This contract position focuses on resolving desktop and operating system issues, supporting Windows-based environments, and delivering timely assistance through a structured service desk process. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling troubleshooting requests, maintaining user access, and ensuring a dependable support experience across the organization.
This is an on-site, contract opportunity located in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
Provide front-line technical assistance for hardware, software, and desktop-related issues affecting end users.
Diagnose and resolve problems within Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows 10 systems, to restore productivity quickly.
Manage and complete service desk tickets by documenting issues, tracking progress, and communicating updates to users.
Support account access needs through Active Directory, including routine user administration and permission-related requests.
Investigate recurring technical concerns, apply practical troubleshooting steps, and escalate complex matters when needed.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and standard workplace applications to support daily operations.
Deliver clear guidance to employees on technical issues and recommended solutions in a thorough and attentive manner.
Requirements
Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a detail-oriented IT environment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for user account and access support tasks.
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 workstations.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting across desktop hardware, software, and operating system issues.
Familiarity with handling and updating service desk tickets in an organized support workflow.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to end users.
Ability to prioritize multiple support requests while maintaining accurate documentation and follow-through.
