A financial services organization in Virginia is seeking a Strategic Program Manager to join their team in Vienna.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Lead multiple complex business programs, initiatives, and projects supporting strategic priorities and measurable outcomes
Translate business strategy and leadership direction into integrated roadmaps, workstreams, milestones, deliverables, and implementation plans
Establish and maintain program governance, including charters, status reporting, escalation paths, and change control
Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to define objectives, scope, success measures, KPIs, and desired outcomes
Manage programs through planning, execution, implementation, transition, adoption, and benefits realization while tracking risks, dependencies, and performance
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of extensive experience leading multiple strategic business programs, initiatives, and projects in complex, cross-functional environments
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Strategy, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Significant experience translating business strategy into executable roadmaps, integrated plans, governance structures, and measurable outcomes
Expert program and project management skills, including scope, schedule, milestones, resources, budgets, dependencies, risks, issues, and change control
Experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to influence decisions and drive alignment without direct authority
Experience establishing program governance, executive reporting, decision-making processes, and stakeholder accountability
Demonstrated experience leading business transformation, operational improvement, organizational change, business readiness, and adoption initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information and develop actionable recommendations
Experience defining KPIs, monitoring performance, assessing program effectiveness, and tracking outcomes and benefits realization
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex business topics to executive-level audiences
Desired Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent certification
Change Management certification or demonstrated experience applying structured Change Management practices
Experience with Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management, Business Transformation, Operating Model Design, or Enterprise-wide Initiatives
Experience within Financial Services or Banking
Knowledge of an organization's functions, operations, and strategic objectives
