Role Overview
This role involves the design, development, architecture, and maintenance of software solutions for network stack protocol software used to securely exchange data between systems. The selected candidate will work with a team focused on an advanced ground operating system, covering multiple platforms like Windows, Linux, and ESXi. The position specializes in air-gapped, self-contained systems and WAN-connected systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather information to support software project management and supplier management functions.
- Design, develop, architect, and maintain software solutions for secure network stack protocols.
- Assist with performance analysis, testing, and software assessments to identify and address risks and vulnerabilities.
- Gather information to provide input on secure network protocols throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and review product security requirements.
- Research and implement current and emerging networking protocols and software security trends.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline is required.
- 5 years of related work experience is required.
- Experience in Linux deployment and administration, including bash scripting and remote access.
- Experience with networking, storage administration, and package management.
- Experience with virtualization principles.
- Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of communications and network concepts, principles, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, FCC).
- Ability to identify system susceptibility, survivability, and vulnerability based on threat characteristics.
- Knowledge of software programming languages, databases, and network technologies.
- Knowledge of real-time software domains, constraints, and products (e.g., control systems, signal processing).
- Ability to derive and allocate requirements and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $55.00/hr - $66.00/hr
