Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer Lead - Onsite for a 12+ month contract to hire opportunity with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA or Farmers Branch, TX. This role supports and advances our client's digital banking and platform modernization efforts, with a primary focus on secure, scalable, and highly available online banking capabilities. The successful candidate will join a cross-functional, Agile-based team to design, build, and enhance platforms that power customer-facing and internal banking applications. The position is expected to be self-driven and provide oversight and guidance to other developers on development tasks and best practices.
Responsibilities: - Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions
- Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs
- Provide oversight and guidance for developers on development tasks and best practices
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation, including for architecture designs and database structure
- Facilitate complex problem resolution and provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
- Review coding, testing, and documentation of software
- Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree minimum
- 10 years of experience as a Technology Engineer
- Strong backend and API Java development skills
- Expert in Java (Java 17/21)
- Experience with IDEs such as Intellij & Eclipse
- Experience with Microservices Application Architecture
- Proficiency with NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Security
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, & Open Shift containerization concepts
- Familiarity with Jenkins, uDeploy, CI/CD concepts, Gradle, etc
Desired skills: - Some UI experience with Angular 17+
- Understanding of best practices for secure coding (OWASP)
- Understanding of Generative AI Tools like Github Copilot for coding
Pay range: $57.05 - $65.05 per hour
