Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist - Onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX. This is a contract to hire opportunity through June 2027. This role involves implementing quality assurance programs within an agile QA test team. The specialist will create and conduct API tests, collaborate with developers and product owners to define test scenarios, and maintain comprehensive test documentation to ensure system reliability, performance, and quality.
Responsibilities: - Create and conduct API requests, collections, and environments in Postman for validation and assertions
- Collaborate with developers, QEs, and POs to understand requirements and define test scenarios
- Create and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test result documentation
- Work with QA Analysts and Developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality
- Deliver effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time
- Analyze the testing needs and develop testing strategy and plans
- Review and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
- Lead, coach and mentor other team members
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree required
- 6 to 8 years of experience leading quality assurance projects/programs
- Experience with API Testing and Automation
- Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for automation scripting
- Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG
- Hands-on experience with IntelliJ IDE
- Proficiency using version control systems like GIT or Bitbucket
- Strong understanding of test data validation
- Familiarity with JIRA for bug tracking and reporting
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in both manual and automated testing environments
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills both written and verbal
Desired skills: - Experience with Junit or Karate
- Experience with MongoDB, SQL, and MySQL for test data validation
Pay range: $36.07 - $44.07 per hour
