Job Description: Project Manager & Future Platform Lead – Sitecore Marketing Platform (V3)
Role Overview
We are seeking a business-savvy, delivery-focused Project Manager (PM) with deep Sitecore expertise to lead our digital marketing platform initiatives. While this role begins with strong delivery execution, it is designed for a strategic professional who will eventually grow into the Platform Manager for our Sitecore marketing ecosystem.
A primary key to success in this role is the ability to build deep, trust-based relationships with our Marketing business leads. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy, ensuring the Sitecore marketing platform seamlessly aligns with sales systems for critical data transfers. Over time, your scope will expand to encompass operational oversight of our core business applications in the Rights and Royalty domains.
Key Responsibilities
Immediate Scope: Project Management & Delivery (Agile & SDLC)
● End-to-End Execution: Drive project delivery using a hybrid of formal Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies to ensure on-time, high-quality solution releases.
● Ceremony Facilitation: Act as the Scrum Master for the Sitecore Managed Services team, facilitating Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
● Workflow Optimization: Manage the sprint lifecycle within Jira (board administration, ticket creation, and workflow tracking).
● Product Owner Partnership: Assist the Product Owner in structuring the backlog for maximum value and defining explicit user story acceptance criteria.
● Delivery Enablement: Shield the development team from external distractions, remove operational blockers, and formulate clean deployment plans.
Business Stakeholder Management & Communication
● Marketing Lead Alignment: Actively partner with and win the trust of senior Marketing business leads, translating technical platform capabilities into clear business outcomes.
● Marketing-to-Sales Integration: Oversee and optimize how the Sitecore marketing platform collaborates and integrates with Sales systems, specifically managing critical lead and data transfers.
● Governance & Committee Leadership: Collaborate actively on the Web Presence Steering Committee to provide portfolio updates, manage expectations, and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
● Compliance & Approvals: Navigate corporate compliance and change governance, including securing Emergency Change Advisory Board (CAB) approvals when critical updates are required
Long-Term Scope: Platform Ownership & Application Expansion
● Platform Roadmapping: Transition into the Sitecore Platform Manager, taking strategic ownership of the environment''s architecture, tools, and long-term upgrade path.
Required Qualifications & Experience
● Experience: 4+ years of project management or delivery leadership experience within a fast-paced corporate environment.
● Business Acumen & Communication: Outstanding business acumen with a proven track record of managing senior business stakeholders and executing professional corporate communication strategies.
● Methodology Frameworks: Proven proficiency managing digital projects across both traditional SDLC and Agile methodologies.
● MarTech/Sales Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with how marketing platforms integrate with CRM/Sales platforms for seamless data and lead transfers.
● Sitecore Expertise (Preferred): Strong technical or functional knowledge of the Sitecore platform (Sitecore Managed Services, Sitecore Experience Platform, or Marketing Automation tools).
● Certifications (Preferred): PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), "Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
