Senior Quality Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Mahwah, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will provide quality engineering support in quality assurance, control, and preventative activities within operations and other business functions. This individual contributor role requires developing and implementing methods for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure products are free of flaws. You will be expected to work independently, applying professional expertise and judgment to support key quality initiatives like FAI, PPAP, and process validations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality engineering support in quality assurance, control and preventative activities
• Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
• Ensure that products are free of flaws and function as designed
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) strategy development, execution, and approvals
• Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Support change control processes and change impact assessments
• Support Equipment and Process validations
• Support SOP and Risk Management documentation updates and reviews
• Advocate and lead the execution of initiatives & projects to enhance quality performance
• Ensure compliance to regulations and standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
• 4+ years of experience in industry
• 2+ years of knowledge/experience with Validation
• Experience supporting EU-MDR programs
• Knowledge of Change Management and Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written English, and attention to detail
• Good understanding of engineering and quality concepts/theories
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-starter with an efficient work style and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work as part of a multi-site team
• Great problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Able to independently use engineering rationale to make decisions
• Ability to travel up to 10% may be required

Desired skills:

• Firm understanding of Med Device concepts
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and EU Regulations, GDP, and GMP concepts
• Knowledge of Risk Based and statistical concepts

Pay range: $51.91 - $61.91 per hour
