Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Mahwah, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role independently leads engineering implementation activities for strategic capital and manufacturing projects from planning through qualification and release. The Senior Project Engineer will coordinate technical integration across equipment, automation, manufacturing, quality, and facilities, partnering closely with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities: - Lead the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release
- Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams
- Assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT, and validation activities
- Work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain project documentation
- Spend time in both the office and on the manufacturing floor to learn the project lifecycle and progressively take ownership of project tasks
Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related field)
- 2-4 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered)
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn
- Medical device experience is highly preferred
Desired skills: - Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work
- Experience working in a team environment through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities
- Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications
Pay range: $57.32 - $67.32 per hour
