Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Mahwah, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through to production release. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and operational objectives. The role will involve spending time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while learning the project lifecycle and progressively taking ownership of project tasks.
Responsibilities: - Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating project activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams
- Attend project meetings and assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT, and validation activities
- Work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Maintain project documentation
Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related field)
- 0-2 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered)
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn project management, manufacturing processes, and capital equipment implementation
Desired skills: - Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work
- Experience working in a team environment through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities
- Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools
- Medical Device industry experience
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications
Pay range: $36.20 - $46.20 per hour
